The Toddlers That Keep Us On Our Toes!

We are beyond thrilled to introduce to the world, our wonderful crew of babies for the year 2008.  We have greatly enjoyed our time with them this fall, teaching them all the adventures they can have, now that they are weaned.  They are wonderful examples of the Rocky Mountain horse, and we're thrilled with the future that lies ahead of them.

 "Johnny"

Johnny is the son of SF Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Joe Banjo.  An amazing cross of the two bloodlines, Johnny is bred to move!  He's one of the most powerful, strongly gaited foals we've ever had, and he's been an exceptional horse for people to see how natural their gait is from birth.  His uncle, Circle of Life, likes to keep an eye on him, and we are sure he's going to follow in his uncle's footsteps in amazing ways.

"Gracie"

This little spitfire of a filly belongs to Sock It To Me and Joe Banjo.  Independent from the second she was born, we knew we had our hands full.  Gracie was up within 30 minutes of "gracing" us with her presence, nursing in about an hour, and for the next 12 hours, kept Amanda on her toes, as she refused to lay down and rest, insisting she had rested enough, she had lots of pent up energy.  Even now, as Amanda leads her through the lanes for exercise and handling, she'll perk up her ears and give Amanda this look, and we know, she's going to gait a little lap around Amanda, and then be ready to work on!  She truly loves to show off her little gait!

"Cowboy"

Cowboy is our little chocolate surprise this year.  A full sibling to our grulla filly, Cowgirl, we were anticipating something on the grulla side of the gene pool, but Wendy, his mom, had other plans.  Though his mom is bay, and he's definitely chocolate and flashy, he is a beautiful replica of her genetics, from his flashy white markings, to his long legged, quick step gait.  Cowboy is the romancer of the barn, taking up with the fillies.

"Cici"

South Forty Sienna is the newest addition to our nursery crew at the farm.  Purchased at the 2008 RM International Show, as the Champion Weanling, we are delighted to round out our rainbow of horse colors with our first buckskin.  Cici has quickly become Cowboy's one and only, and keeps us entertained in the barns, as if she's not begging you for attention, she's at her window, charming Cowboy the rest of the day.  We are thrilled to have such a phenomenal filly to add to our collection!
